মুক্তিযুদ্ধের স্মৃতিবিজড়িত বিমানসহ পাখা গুটিয়ে অলস পড়ে থাকা বিমান নিয়ে নতুন করে চালু হয়েছে বিমান বাহিনী জাদুঘর।    
 
রাজধানীর তেজগাঁও পুরোনো বিমানবন্দর রানওয়ের পশ্চিমে আইডিবি ভবনের বিপরীতে জাদুঘরটিতে মোট ১৯টি বিমান, দু’টি হেলিকপ্টার এবং বিমান বাহিনীর ব্যবহৃত তিনটি রাডার দর্শকদের দেখার জন্য উন্মুক্ত রাখা হয়েছে।
 
মুক্তিযুদ্ধের স্মৃতিবিজড়িত হান্টার বিমানসহ বেশ কিছু ঐতিহাসিক নিদর্শন নিয়ে বিমান বাহিনীর এই জাদুঘরের উদ্বোধন হয় গত ২৮ সেপ্টেম্বর।
 
বিমান বাহিনীর গৌরবময় ইতিহাস-ঐতিহ্য, এর সাফল্য ও ক্রমবিকাশকে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের কাছে তুলে ধরতে এ জাদুঘরের গোড়াপত্তন করা হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে কর্তৃপক্ষ।
 
এবার ঈদ এবং দুর্গাপূজায় রাজধানীবাসীর বিনোদনের অন্যতম খোরাক যুগিয়েছে বিমানবাহিনী জাদুঘর।
 
জাদুঘর উদ্বোধন করেন বিমান বাহিনীপ্রধান এয়ার মার্শাল মোহাম্মদ এনামুল বারী। 
 
নির্মাণকাজের কিছু অংশ এখনও বাকি থাকলেও প্রতিদিনই দর্শনার্থীর ভিড় বাড়ছে এই জাদুঘরে। প্রতিদিন গড়ে এক হাজার দর্শনার্থী আসছেন এসব বিমান ও প্রদর্শণ সামগ্রী দেখতে।
 
বিমানের টিকিট ৩০ টাকা
দেশের প্রথম পরিবহন বিমান ‘বলাকা’ও রাখা হয়েছে প্রদর্শনের জন্য। এতে ৩০ টাকা দিয়ে ওঠারও সুযোগ করেছে কর্তৃপক্ষ। অকেজো বিমানগুলো পুরোনো আদলে ফিরিয়ে এনে এগুলোর ভেতর এয়ারকন্ডিশনার যুক্ত করা হয়েছে। 
 
এ বিমানে ওঠার জন্য লাইন ধরে টিকিট সংগ্রহ করছেন দর্শনার্থীরা। 
 
রাশিয়ার তৈরি এই বিমানটি ১৯৫৮ সালে প্রথম ওড়ানো হয়। ১৯৭৩ সালে বিমান বাহিনীতে সংযুক্ত করা হয়। 
 
বিমান বাহিনীতে ‘বলাকা’ নামে পরিচিত এই বিমানটি রাষ্ট্রপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী ব্যবহার করতেন। ডিভিডি ও ডিজিটাল সাউন্ড সিস্টেমের মাধ্যমে বিমানবাহিনীর বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রম দেখানো হচ্ছে বলাকার মধ্যে। একটি বিশ্রামকক্ষ ফিরিয়ে আনা হয়েছে আগের মতো করে।
 
আরো যা আছে
জাদুঘরের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ হবে ঐতিহাসিক ড্যাকোটা বিমান। এটা নিয়ে আসা হবে জাদুঘরে। গত ১৯ আগস্ট বাংলাদেশ বিমান বাহিনীকে উপহার দেয় ভারত। 
 
বাংলাদেশ বিমান বাহিনীর যাত্রাকালেও এর বিশেষ ভূমিকা ছিল।
 
এছাড়াও জাদুঘরে স্থান পেয়েছে এ্যালিউট হেলিকপ্টার। যা দিয়ে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় সেনানিবাসে পাকিস্তানি বাহিনীর অবস্থানের ওপর আঘাত হানা হয়েছিল। এই হেলিকপ্টারটি ১৯৮০ সাল পর্যন্ত ব্যবহৃত হয়।
 
বিমান বাহিনীর যাত্রী পরিবহন প্রশিক্ষণে ব্যবহৃত কানাডায় তৈরি একটি 'অটার' বিমানও রয়েছে। ১৯৮০ সাল পর্যন্ত এটিও কর্মক্ষম ছিল। 
 
মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বাংলাদেশের বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবহৃত একটি এফ-৮৬ যুদ্ধবিমানও স্থান পেয়েছে জাদুঘরে। 
 
মিত্রবাহিনীর ব্যবহৃত তিনটি যুদ্ধবিমান হান্টার, মিগ-২১ এফএল এবং ন্যাটও জাদুঘরে ঠাঁই পেয়েছে।
  
বিমান বাহিনীর ব্যবহৃত জার্মানির তৈরি গ্লাইডার, চীনের তৈরি এফ টি-৫ মডেলের বিমান, সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়নের তৈরি এমআই-৮ হেলিকপ্টার এবং রাশিয়ার তৈরি এন-২৪ এয়ার ক্র্যাফট উন্মুক্ত রয়েছে দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য। 
 
প্রতিটি বিমানের কাছে সুদৃশ্য গাছ বানিয়ে পরিচিতি তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। 
 
দর্শনার্থীদের ভিড়
প্রতিদিন দর্শনার্থীর সংখ্যা গড়ে এক হাজার থাকলেও শুক্র ও শনিবার সবচেয়ে বেশি দর্শনার্থী আসেন জাদুঘরে। এক শুক্রবার বিকালে জাদুঘরে গিয়ে দেখা যায়, সব বয়সের মানুষ এসেছেন দেখার কৌতূহল মেটাতে। 
 
বিমান, হেলিকপ্টার ও রাডারের পাশাপাশি মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বিমানবাহিনীর শহীদদের স্মরণ করতে তৈরি করা হয়েছে একটি শহীদ কর্ণার।
 
একটি ডিজিটাল ম্যাপও তৈরি করা হয়েছে।
 
বিমান বাহিনীর নানা রকম দ্রব্যাদি নিয়ে রয়েছে ‘নীলাদ্রি’ নামে একটি স্যুভেনির। 
 
শিশুদের মনোরঞ্জন ও বিনোদনের জন্য চিলড্রেন্স পার্ক, রয়েল বেঙ্গল টাইগার, জিরাফ, হরিণ, শিম্পাঞ্জিসহ নানা রকম পশু-পাখির প্রতিরূপ।  
 
বিমান ছাড়াও জাদুঘরের উত্তর দিকে সুদৃশ্য লেক এবং দক্ষিণে মনোরম সবুজ বৃক্ষসারি ও বনানী যে কারোরই মন কাড়বে। 
 
পরিবার নিয়ে বেড়াতে আসেন ধানমণ্ডির আকরামুল ইসলাম। পাঁচ বছরের ছেলে নীরবের বায়না ধরে পুরো পরিবার নিয়ে ওঠেন বলাকায়।
 
আকরামুল বাংলানিউজকে বলেন, এ প্রজন্মের শিশুদের জন্য মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বিমান বাহিনীর অবদান জানার পাশাপাশি বিমানে ওঠার সুযোগ সত্যিই মজার ব্যাপার।
 
পরিকল্পনা
বলাকার মতো করে আরো ২/১টিতে দর্শনার্থী ওঠানোর পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। 
 
বিমান বাহিনীর সদস্যদের বিভিন্ন সময়ে ব্যবহৃত পোশাক, র‌্যাংক, ক্যাপ-ব্যাজ প্রদর্শনের বিশেষ গ্যালারি স্থাপন হবে। 
 
তৈরি করা হবে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ গ্যালারি। মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বিমানবাহিনীর অবদানকে স্মরণ করে মুক্তিযুদ্ধ গ্যালারি নির্মিত হবে।
 
সময়সূচি
রোববার রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ কাজের জন্য জাদুঘরটি বন্ধ থাকে। এছাড়া সোম থেকে বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুর ২টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত খোলা থাকবে জাদুঘর। 
 
এছাড়া সাপ্তাহিক ছুটির দিন শুক্র ও শনিবার সকাল ১০টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত জাদুঘরটি সর্বসাধারণের জন্য উন্মুক্ত থাকবে।
 
প্রবেশ ফটকের ঠিকাদার মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আতিয়ার রহমান ঝণ্টু বলেন, বিমান একটা স্বপ্ন। এখানে তা ছুঁয়ে দেখার স্বপ্ন পূরণ হচ্ছে। বিমান বাহিনীর নিজস্ব নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা দর্শনার্থীদের নিরাপদ বিনোদন দিচ্ছে বিমান বাহিনীর এই জাদুঘর।

At Lonely Planet, debates are constantly raging over our favourite countries for food, our best-value travel finds and our number one destinations overall. These debates culminate in our annual Best in Travel selections, but we wanted to throw that question to a wider crowd by asking our fans on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Thorn Tree where they have travelled and which places they enjoyed the most. Then we asked them to rate those destinations by 16 criteria (for example, which was the best ‘Value for Money’). More than 3000 people responded, and the results are finally in.

Top 20 destinations overall

Top of the list is Bhutan. As our travel guide says: ‘This is a country where buying cigarettes is illegal, where the rice is red and where chillies aren’t just a seasoning but the entire dish. It’s also a deeply Buddhist land, where men wear a tunic to work, and where Gross National Happiness is deemed more important than Gross National Product.’ European destinations didn’t do too well overall, with Iceland being the first country on the list (in seventh position), and the next European country, Italy, at nineteenth. Asian countries made up half of the top 20.

If food is your main reason to travel, then head to Italy, Thailand, India, Japan, and the rest of our foodie favourites below. You may need to break up this list with a few from the Adventures list (see below) to keep your waistline under control. Chiefly famous for its steak, Argentina was the only country to make the top 10 outside of Asia or Europe.

Adventure

High-adrenaline travellers are in no doubt about where to go: New Zealand. Costa Rica came in second place in the adventure travel category, helped, no doubt, by loads of visitors zip-lining through its jungles. And hikers most likely helped Nepal and Peru (Machu Picchu) get in the top 5.

Value for money

And the winner is…Thailand. This is an obvious winner for anyone who has eaten at a Bangkok street stall or stayed in a beach hut facing the Gulf of Thailand. In fact, the other two countries on the Gulf of Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, also made the top 10. According to LP travellers, Asia provides the best value for money, with 7 out of the top 10 budget favourites coming from this continent alone. Bulgaria was the only European destination in the top contenders, while South America was represented by Bolivia, and Africa by Ghana.

 Hearts across the country started to leap with the advent of cool weather, coupled with cloudy sky, intermittent rains and festival holidays. What a perfect combination of nature and timing! Fantasy Kingdom

It is located thirty kilometres off the Dhaka city on the way to Savar and about five kilometres from the Zia International Airport. This park was formally opened in 2002 and over the years has gained huge popularity.

Fantasy Kingdom offers a big flume ride with 1500 feet long roller coaster, Santaramaria Viking ship, Arabian flying carpet, racehorses, crazy bumps, a big video game arcade etc. Visitors to the amusement park will also find a four-star luxury hotel at the park that has two hundred rooms, condominiums and resort city. Souvenir shops, merchandise stores and food vendors are all located inside the park.

Nandan Park

Nandan Park is located at Savar, Baroipara beside Chandra-Nabinagar Highway. The park opened its door in 2003 and it is claimed to be the largest Family Amusement Park in Bangladesh.

The parks boast of having unique rides and other amusement facilities like cable car, water coaster, tilt-a-whirl, ice-land, musical dancing fountain, wave pool and so on. This park is specially designed for wholesome family day out amusement and the rides have been carefully chosen so that everybody of the family can take the ride without being scared. Visitors can even experience snowfalls in the park.

The park is spread over 135 bighas of land and there are plenty of greenery to spend the time in an eco-friendly and refreshing ambience. Its Water Park was inaugurated in May 2004. Water Park consists of wave pool, wave runner, ladies and gents curve slides, kids pool, multi play zone, rain dance, waterfall and mist.

Shishu Mela

Shymoli Shishu Mela is a small size childern recreation park. It has been established in 1994 just beside the Dhaka Shishu Hospital. It is an amusing place only for children.

The residents of Chittagong can also get their share of enjoyment and excitement at the Foy’s Lake Amusement World and Sea World.

However, popularity of these places means it is harder to escape from the crowd. Heading to a resort with family and friends and spending time amid warmth hospitality, luxury and comfort is also an enticing idea to spend time in calm and tranquility.

Jamuna Resort

Sprawled over the bank of mighty river Jamuna, the Jamuna Resort is a fascinating destination. It is located on the east side of Bangabandhu Bridge and about 19 kms away from Tangail city. Some 110 cottages dot the landscape of the resort’s sprawling area, which is over 1200 bighas. Besides, there are picnic spot, swimming pool, playground, conference room and a number of good restaurants. Moreover, there are arrangements for boat riding in the Jamuna River. Elenga Resort

Located in the heart of Elenga town, Tangail, the Elenga Resort is about 7 km away from Tangail city. And it is only 90 minutes drive from International Airport, Dhaka.

Nokkhottrobari Resort

Nokkhottrobari is created by artist couple Taukir Ahmed and Bipasha Hayat. The resort is perched on over 10 bighas of land adjacent to Shalban at Sreepur, Gazipur. Padma Resort

The Padma Resort is about 100 minutes drive from Dhaka and located on the bank of mighty Padma in Munshiganj. There a total of 16 wooden cottages, with lavish beach chairs in a vast green sandy beach for relaxation. You will also find real horse ride on the vast land through the river bank.

How to prepare for and enjoy amusement park

Amusement park as the name suggests is always full of fun and excitement with many rides to allure vacationers. The thrill and chills of different park rides will be more enjoyable if you know how to prepare for and enjoy an amusement park. While some park rides are very chilling and not suitable for those having medical conditions and nausea, some are enjoyable for all. Sometimes some information as to which attire is comfortable for rides and what types of attractions are available in the park will make your trip more enjoyable. So the following tips will be handy for those planning to tour an amusement park:

l It is always better to research beforehand on the park if you have not gone there before. If there do not seem to be any attractions that you like, do not force yourself.

l Plan your trip and make sure you know how much tickets cost, and buy them beforehand if necessary. If you only want to ride a few, opt for these, but if not, make sure you are buying a pass that will let you ride all day.

l Dress light and bring only what you need. If you want to bring your own food, make sure your amusement park allows it and offers storage.

l Don’t wear loose clothing. If you want to wear a hat, always remember to put it in a secure pocket before going on a ride.

l Likewise, you should tie up long hair. Hair past shoulder length can easily get tangled on a windy ride. Braids are recommended, as they stay closer to the head and don’t have loose hair like ponytails.

l Have enough money on hand. Depending on how long you will be at the park, make plans for what you will eat. Keep in mind that park food is expensive.

l If you have nausea but otherwise enjoy park rides, there should be nausea-relieving pills at your local drugstore. Take these beforehand. Unless you are sure that you will not be nauseous, it’s best to have these.

Cautions:

l Never go in to an off-limits area. These are usually places where rides swing and move, and people can get injured from being in such a place while the ride is operating. Even if you think it’s safe, fences and signs are there for a reason.

l Remember that even a calm ride can be dangerous. If someone falls out, depending on the ride, they can get stuck in gearing or simply be hurt from the fall. জলমগ্ন রাতারগুল (Ratargul Swamp Forest )

Ratargul Swamp Forest is a freshwater swamp forest located in Sylhet, Bangladesh. It is the only swamp forest located in Bangladesh and one of the few freshwater swamp forest in the world. The forest is naturally conserved under the Department of Forestry, Govt. of Bangladesh.

The evergreen forest^[1] is situated by the river Goain and linked with the cannel Chengir Khal. Most of the trees grow here are Pongamia pinnata (Koroch tree). The forest goes under 20-30 feet water at rainy season. Rest of the year the water level is about 10 feet deep: (Collected from Wikipedia)

A swamp is a wetland that is forested. Many swamps occur along large rivers, where they are critically dependent upon natural water level fluctuations. Other swamps occur on the shores of large lakes. Some swamps have Hammock (ecology), or dry-land protrusions, covered by Aquatic vegetation, or vegetation that tolerates periodical inundation. The water of a swamp may be Fresh water, Brackish water or Seawater. Some of the world’s largest swamps are found along major rivers such as the Amazon, the Mississippi, and the Congo. 

Ratargul is a fresh water swamp forest situated in Sylhet by the river of Goain. Freshwater swamp forests, or flooded forests, are forests which are inundated with freshwater, either permanently or seasonally. The water comes here from the adjacent Goain River. This evergreen forest is getting submerged under 20 to 30 feet water in some part during rainy season. It’s a good source of different local fish. It’s the habitat of different snakes, monkeys, lizards, insects & birds. You would have seen vulture & Eagle if you are lucky. Some part the forest gets so narrow that you can’t go by boat. You will get the flavor of Amazon forest here. 

Anyone can reach Sylhet by bus, train or by Plane. Dhaka to Sylhet by bus will take around 6 hours. Sylhet Ambarkhana point to Goainghat bazaar by CNG 300-400 tk, 1.5 hours. Goainghat boat stand to Ratargul Bit office by big boat 800 tk, 1.5 hours. Bit office to Ratargul forest by small boat 200-300 tk. 

Ratargul forest to Motorghat 20 minuets and finally Motorghat to Ambarkhana ghat by CNG 60 tk/person, 1 hour.

জলাভূমির মধ্যে কোমর ডুবিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা সারি সারি গাছের বিশাল এক জঙ্গল। এতই ঘন জঙ্গল যে ভেতরের দিকটায় সূর্যের আলো গাছের পাতা ভেদ করে জল ছুঁতে পারে না।

অনেকে একে বাংলাদেশের আমাজনও বলে থাকেন। বনের আসল নাম রাতারগুল। এখানে গাছের ডালে ডালে ঘুরে বেড়ায় নানান বন্য প্রাণী আর পাখি। শীতে জল শুকিয়ে যায় বলে বর্ষা এবং বর্ষাপরবর্তী সময় (জুলাই থেকে অক্টোবর) রাতারগুল ভ্রমণের উপযুক্ত সময়। 

সিলেট শহর থেকে রাতারগুলের দূরত্ব প্রায় ২৬ কিলোমিটার। জেলার গোয়াইনঘাট উপজেলায় এ বনের অবস্থান। সিলেট বন বিভাগের উত্তর সিলেট রেঞ্জে-২ এর অধীন প্রায় ৩০ হাজার ৩শ’ ২৫ একর জায়গা জুড়ে এ জলাভূমি। এর মধ্যে ৫শ’ ৪ একর জায়গার মধ্যে বন, বাকি জায়গা জলাশয় আর সামান্য কিছু উঁচু জায়গা। তবে বর্ষাকালে পুরো এলাকাটিই পানিতে ডুবে থাকে। শীতে প্রায় শুকিয়ে যায় রাতারগুল। তখন বনের ভেতরে খনন করা বড় জলাশয়গুলোতে শুধু পানি থাকে।

পুরান দুটি বড় জলাশয় ছাড়াও ২০১০-১১ সালে রাতারগুল বনের ভেতরে পাখির আবাসস্থল হিসেবে ৩.৬ বর্গকিলোমিটারের একটি বড় লেক খনন করা হয়। শীতে এ জলাশয়ে বসে নানান পাখির মিলন মেলা।

রাতারগুল একটি প্রাকৃতিক বন। এরপরেও বন বিভাগ হিজল, বরুণ, করচ আর মুতা-সহ কিছু জলবান্ধবজাতের গাছ লাগিয়ে দেয় এ বনে। এছাড়াও রাতারগুলের গাছপালার মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য হল— কদম, জালিবেত, অর্জুনসহ জলসহিষ্ণু প্রায় ২৫ প্রজাতির গাছপালা।

সিলেটের শীতলপাটি তৈরির মূল উপাদান মুতার বড় অংশ এই বন থেকেই আসে। বাংলাদেশ বন বিভাগ ১৯৭৩ সালে এ বনের ৫শ’ ৪ একর এলাকাকে বন্যপ্রাণীর জন্য অভয়াশ্রম হিসেবে ঘোষণা করে।

এখানে আছে নানান প্রজাতির পাখি। এসবের মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য হল— মাছরাঙা, বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির বক, ঘুঘু, ফিঙে, বালিহাঁস, পানকৌড়ি ইত্যাদি।

বন্যপ্রাণীর মধ্যে আছে— বানর, উদবিড়াল, কাঠবেড়ালি, মেছোবাঘ ইত্যাদি। বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির গুঁইসাপ ও নানান ধরনের সাপের অভায়শ্রম এই বন।

রাতারগুলের প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য লেখায় প্রকাশ করা সম্ভব নয়। এই বনের সুধা নিতে হলে যেতে হবে সেখানে। জঙ্গলের একেবারে শুরুর দিকটায় মুতার বন। এর বেশির ভাগই জলে ডুবে থাকে বর্ষায়। এর পরেই শুরু আসল বন।

যতই গহীনে যাওয়া যাবে ততই গাছের ঘনত্ব বাড়তে থাকবে। অনেক জায়গাতেই সূর্যের আলো পৌঁছায় না। দুই-একদিন বৃষ্টি না হলে পানি এত বেশি স্বচ্ছ হয় যে, বনের সবুজ প্রতিবিম্বকে মনে হয় বনের নিচে আরেকটি বন।

যেভাবে যাবেন

ঢাকা থেকে প্রথমে যেতে হবে সিলেট শহর। সড়ক, রেল ও আকাশ পথে ঢাকা থেকে সরাসরি সিলেট আসতে পারেন। চট্টগ্রাম থেকেও সিলেটে আসা যায়। ঢাকা থেকে গ্রীনলাইন পরিবহন, সোহাগ পরিবহন, সৌদিয়া পরিবহনের এসি বাস যায় সিলেটে। ভাড়া ৮শ’ টাকা থেকে ১ হাজার টাকা।

এছাড়া ঢাকার ফকিরাপুল, কমলাপুর, সায়দাবাদ প্রভৃতি জায়গা থেকে শ্যামলী পরিবহন, হানিফ এন্টারপ্রাইজ, সৌদিয়া, মামুন পরিবহন, সিলকম পরিবহন ইত্যাদি সংস্থার নন-এসি বাসও সিলেটে যায়। ভাড়া ৩শ’ টাকা থেকে ৫শ’ টাকা।

ঢাকার কমলাপুর থেকে মঙ্গলবার ছাড়া সপ্তাহের প্রতিদিন সকাল ৬টা ৪০ মিনিটে ছেড়ে যায় আন্তঃনগর ট্রেন পারাবত এক্সপ্রেস। সপ্তাহের প্রতিদিন দুপুর ২টায় ছাড়ে জয়নন্তিকা এক্সপ্রেস।

বুধবার ছাড়া সপ্তাহের প্রতিদিন রাত ৯টা ৫০ মিনিটে ছাড়ে উপবন এক্সপ্রেস। শ্রেণিভেদে ভাড়া ১৫০ টাকা থেকে ১ হাজার ১৮ টাকা।

চট্টগ্রাম থেকে সোমবার ছাড়া প্রতিদিন সকাল ৮টায় সিলেটের উদ্দেশে ছাড়ে পাহাড়িকা এক্সপ্রেস। শনিবার ছাড়া প্রতিদিন রাত ৯টায় যায় উদয়ন এক্সপ্রেস। ভাড়া ১৯০ টাকা থেকে ১ হাজার ১শ’ ৯১ টাকা।

সিলেট শহর থেকে বিভিন্ন পথে রাতারগুল যাওয়া সম্ভব। তবে পর্যটকরা দুটি পথ ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। রাতারগুলের সবচেয়ে সহজ আর সুন্দর পথটি হল— সিলেট শহরের পাশেই খাদিম চা বাগান আর খাদিমনগর জাতীয় উদ্যানের ভেতর দিয়ে। খুব অল্প সময়েই এই পথ ধরে রাতারগুল পৌঁছানো সম্ভব।

সিএনজি অটোরিকশা বা জিপ নিয়ে আসতে হবে শ্রীঙ্গি ব্রিজ। সকালে গিয়ে বিকেলের মধ্যেই বন ঘুরেফিরে আসা যায়। সারাদিনের জন্য একটি  সিএনজি বা অটোরিকশার ভাড়া পড়বে ১২শ’ টাকা থেকে ১৫শ’ টাকা।

সিলেট শহরের আম্বরখানা থেকে লোকাল সিএনজিতে গেলে জনপ্রতি ভাড়া পড়বে ১শ’ টাকা।

শ্রীঙ্গি ব্রিজ থেকে রাতারগুল জঙ্গলে ঢুকতে হবে জেলেদের ছোট নৌকায়। একটি নৌকায় ৪ থেকে ৬ জন ঘুরে বেড়ান সম্ভব। ভাড়া লাগবে ৪শ’ টাকা থেকে ৮শ’ টাকা।

এছাড়া রাতারগুল যাওয়ার অন্য পথটি হচ্ছে সিলেট-জাফলংয়ের গাড়িতে চড়ে নামতে হবে সারিঘাট। ভাড়া ৪০ টাকা থেকে ৫০ টাকা। সেখান থেকে সিএনজি চালিত বেবিটেক্সিতে চড়ে গোয়াইনঘাট বাজার। এখান থেকে নৌকা ভাড়া করে যেতে হবে রাতারগুল। ১০ থেকে ১২ জনের উপযোগী সারাদিনের জন্য একটি নৌকার ভাড়া পড়বে ৮শ টাকা থেকে ১২শ’ টাকা।

সারি নদীর সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে চাইলে এ পথটি অনুসরণ করতে পারেন। তবে খরচ আর সময়, দুটোই বেশি লাগবে এ পথে।

রাতারগুলে যেতে যে পথই অনুসরণ করুন না কেন, বনে ঢুকতে লাগবে জেলেদের ছোট নৌকা।

থাকার জায়গা

সিলেট শহরে রাতে থাকার জন্য বিভিন্ন মানের হোটেল আছে। শাহজালাল উপশহরে পাঁচ তারকা মানের হোটেল রোজ ভিউ। নাইওরপুল এলাকায় হোটেল ফরচুন গার্ডেন। জেল সড়কে হোটেল ডালাস। ভিআইপি সড়কে হোটেল হিলটাউন। লিঙ্ক রোডে হোটেল গার্ডেন ইন।

শহরের বাইরে বিমানবন্দর সড়কে বাংলাদেশ পর্যটন কর্পোরেশনের পর্যটন মোটেল। খাদিম নগরে জেসটেট হলিডে রিসোর্ট। শুকতারা প্রকৃতি নিবাস। নাজিমগড় রিসোর্ট ইত্যাদি।

এসব হোটেল রিসোর্টে ৮শ’ টাকা থেকে ২০ হাজার টাকায় থাকার ব্যবস্থা আছে।

সাবধানতা

রাতারগুলের সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করার সবচেয়ে ভালো সময় বর্ষাকাল বা বর্ষার পরের মৌসুম। এটি জলাবন বলে ভ্রমণকালীন কিছু বিষয়ে সতর্ক থাকা উচিত। বর্ষায় বন ডুবে গেলে বেশিরভাগ সাপ আশ্রয় নেয় গাছের ডাল কিংবা শুকনা অংশে। তাই চারপাশ খেয়াল রেখে চলতে হবে। এছাড়া জোঁকেরও উপদ্রব আছে। সাঁতার না জানলে সঙ্গে লাইফ জ্যাকেট রাখা জরুরি।

বর্ষাকালে গেলে সঙ্গে ছাতা, রেইনকোট কিংবা পঞ্চো সঙ্গে নিতে হবে।
